Interactivity In Theatre For work that reconsiders the audience-performer relationship // a place to discuss, argue, and interact…

About

About The Site

This site is dedicated to the practice, theories, and art of all aspects of interactivity in theatre. It was founded by Yaz Al-Shaater and Three's Company in Autumn 2009, and is run with the help of Quiche Lorraine.

We've set this up for five purposes. The first four are community-based: for open debate, for news and articles, to share research, and for people to present their own ideas and theories.

The fifth reason is for Three's Company to showcase the system and theories we're developing ourselves. But we'll try and make the subjective parts clearly labelled and separated.

We hope you find the site useful and interesting. Get in touch with any ideas or feedback!

How It Works

The site is divided into three sections:

  • The Discussions: an online meeting space to talk and argue about interactivity and the ideas presented. Feel free to propose further topics for discussion.
  • The Blog: a depository for research and interesting links, plus article and ideas. Anybody is welcome to submit to the blog.
  • The Theories: details about our system and theories, and ideas. All of this is open for comments by the community.

Who We Are

Three's Company (Yaz Al-Shaater, Tom Crawshaw, and Michael Grady-Hall) are a multi-award0winning theatre company, who've been focussing on interactivity for the past five years, and are currently developing a system of interactive theatre.
Quiche Lorraine is a cloudy, anonimous figure, and the brains behind National Arts Service and other projects.
