What's The Point & What's The Place of Interactivity in Theatre?

The Interactivity Symposium | Convened by Three's Company and interactivity.org.uk.

Jump to: SubjectSpeakers | Programme of EventsDocumentation

Our first session is the most general, dealing with the very existence of interactivity in performance. The panel and audience will discuss why and how it can, should and is being used in theatre, and muse on the future of the genre.

The day includes a panel discussion, a Q&A, and an open space debate.

Subject

This debate asks why we should or shouldn't use interactivity in theatre at all.

Discussion may include:

  • Why use interactivity in theatre at all? Why not?
  • What does interactivity add to theatre, and when does it get in the way?
  • Is full interactivity mutually exclusive with complete narrative?
  • Is interactive theatre overlooked or overhyped?

You can read more and participate in this debate online in our discussions section: What's The Point & What's The Place of Interactivity in Theatre?
